Taxi drivers in Addis Ababa city have complained that they are being fined by traffic police for not following instructions and without sufficient reason.
Taxi drivers, who expressed their frustration with the traffic jams in various parts of the city, told the unit that they have been having difficulty doing their jobs properly since the new penalty reform was implemented.
They stated that they were regularly fined up to 1,500 birr for providing insufficient reasons, and as a result, they were unable to work and earn a daily income.
